  1. What kind of expertise must I have to be a reseller?
    Your level of experience isn't as critical as you might think. Obviously the more you know about web sites and development the better but if you are just getting started don't let a lack of experience stop you. The great thing about our program is that you can always turn to us for help.

    Our responsibilities to you as a reseller are as follows:
    • Provide direct technical support to you.
    • Provide all server space and routine account maintenance
    • Provide generically named virtual name servers for whois identity
    • Provide data connections to the internet for all resold accounts

  3. What are my obligations as a reseller?
    As a reseller for Flighthost.com your responsibilities would be as follows:
    • Provide direct billing for your customers
    • Provide direct technical support for your customers
    • Abide by the Flighthost.com Acceptable Use Policy

  4. How does Flighthost bill me?
    All resold accounts are billed to you on your regular billing date. If you sign up an account on any other date in the billing cycle those charges will be pro-rated to your next billing date. As with all of our accounts your complete billing history is always available online.

  5. What prices should I charge?
    As a Flighthost.com reseller you may charge any reasonable price you wish. Most of our resellers offer prices similar to ours.

  6. How should I bill my customers?
    We suggest when starting that you use a manual order entry system. This is the cheapest way to get started. Once your business is established and producing regular income you may want to contact us to discuss ways to automate your business further?

  7. How can I get set up to accept credit cards?
    There are many different ways to accept credit cards for payment. We suggest that you look at the options listed in our commerce section and then call to speak to an account representative if you need further guidance. Getting set up to accept credit cards is actually a simple process.

  8. I'm not located in the United States. Can I still be a reseller?
    Yes! Many of our successful resellers operate outside of the United States. In some cases you may have the excellent opportunity of being the first to offer hosting services as a local company.

  9. Are there any differences in the resold accounts?
    The resold accounts offer the same features and space/transfer as our regular accounts. The only difference is that certain informational features have been removed because they point back to Flighthost.

  10. Will my customers know I am a reseller?
    Flighthost will remain completely anonynmous to your customers. Our nameservers even use a generic host name so we won't show up in a whois search.

  11. Can I personalize the control panel for my company?
    Yes! Resold accounts are given a web based tool that allows them to change the look of the control panel to match their prefered scheme. You can even upload your own company logo!

  12. How long does it take for a resold domain to be set up?
    Because we give you access to our automated system your resold accounts are active within minutes after you enter the order.

  13. Can my customers become resellers?
    To aid in the growth of your business accounts that you sell cannot themselves resell. Your customers will not be able to compete with you!

  14. Can I sell contract lengths longer than 1 month?
    Yes, you may sign up an account for 1,3,6,or 12 months. Because of our deeply discounted reseller prices we are not able to offer additional discounts based on contract length.

  15. Will Flighthost help me advertise my business?
    While we can't provide advertising directly we are always willing to discuss ideas and point you in the right direction. Since we share in your success we'll do everything we can to help get your business off to a great start!
